A global powerhouse. For the good of patients.

Through the acquisition of several industry leaders already, Life Couriers is creating a global powerhouse in life science and healthcare logistics.

This strategy positions Life Couriers to meet the drastically evolving needs of a complex market. Combining the expertise of many decades and several logistics sectors, the collaboration expands reach and service capabilities, positioning the group as a comprehensive solution provider for clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare sectors.

Growth Strategies

Life Couriers is currently managing a considerable acquisition pipeline to generate growth potentials. A dedicated business development team is handling and executing this pipeline with operational excellence. The main strategies for the further growth of Life Couriers are:

Concentration

Increasing network density by adding regional expansions to the existing logistics infrastructure in both North America and Europe.

Diversification

Addition of new specialties in life sciences and industrial emergency operations.

Regional Expansion

Developing our own infrastructure on continents that are currently lesser-served by the Life Couriers partner network (i.e. in Asia and South America).

Are we a perfect match?

Interested companies must have expertise in a specific area of logistics and ideally already operate internationally. Unfortunately, simple freight forwarders, city couriers and overland heavy haulers are currently not eligible to join the Life Couriers network at this time.

To be a good match, we are looking for logistics companies with the following profile:

Financials
  • Healthy companies with EBITDA > EUR 0.5m
  • Positive past development and growth outlook
  • No restructuring / turnaround cases
  • Preferably asset-light or asset-free business models
Business model
  • High value, high complexity life-science / pharma transport
  • Ideally 75% life-science / healthcare-related revenues
  • Current LOBs: Stem Cell OBC, Radiopharma, Life Science, Direct-to-Patient, Pharma Freight and Emergency Logistics
Geography
  • All countries with stable political and economic conditions
  • Consolidation in existing markets: US and Europe
  • Expansion into new markets: APAC and LATAM
Ownership / deal structure
  • Majority stake must be sold
  • 100% sale preferred, but owners keeping minority stake or rolling-up shares is a possibility
  • Typically, we need key people to stay on board, incl. owners, at least for a transition period (with or without shares)

In principle, we prefer specialized logistics service providers with asset-light or asset-free business models, preferably with synergy effects to the existing Life Couriers companies. Land and sea transportation as well as order picking and warehousing are also possible.

Become part of the Life Couriers network and work together in a partnership that creates real added value, actively shaping the future of healthcare logistics.
