Life Couriers Acquires Aktiv-Trans

(Munich, 15 October 2024) – Life Couriers, a global leader in healthcare logistics, has announced the acquisition of Aktiv-Trans, a German logistics company specialising in the transportation of radiopharmaceuticals. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Bad Oeynhausen, Aktiv-Trans brings decades of expertise and a strong service commitment, serving major radiopharmaceutical manufacturers and university hospitals across Germany. This acquisition supports Life Couriers’ strategy to further expand its radiopharmaceutical logistics capabilities in Europe.

Aktiv-Trans is certified to transport all dangerous goods of class 7 (radioactive materials) and primarily operates in Germany, with shipments extending to Poland, Switzerland, and other European countries. The integration of Aktiv-Trans will enable Life Couriers to solidify its market leadership in radiopharmaceutical logistics, particularly within the German market, while leveraging cross-selling opportunities with customers throughout Europe and the US.
